Natasha Werpy

Natasha Werpy DVM DACVR  


Natasha earned her DVM from Colorado State University’s (CSU) College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She then completed an equine internship at San Luis Rey Equine Hospital, followed by an imaging internship with Dr Norman Rantanen. She completed an imaging residency with Dr Rantanen and CSU in 2004, and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology. In her career, she has served as the Medical Imaging Director at the CSU Gail Holmes Equine Orthopaedic Research Center from 2004 to 2011 and was an Associate Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine from 2011 to 2016. 


Natasha is currently a private practice equine radiologist and owner/president of Equine Diagnostic Imaging, Inc. She works with several board-certified radiologists and residents. She is a consulting radiologist for numerous different practices and universities, both in the US and internationally. Natasha’s primary interest is clinical diagnostic imaging of the equine athlete, specifically musculoskeletal imaging, with an emphasis on MRI and ultrasound. More recently, her focus has been on developing techniques for dynamic CT myelograms.
