Jim Green MICPEM 

Jim is the Managing Director of the British Animal Rescue & Trauma Care Association (BARTA). Over the past 25 years, beginning in the fire and rescue service, Jim has led the development of practices for the safe resolution of incidents involving animals. Building a cohesive approach to emergencies and disasters utilising skills from the rescue and veterinary professions working together, has led to a much more informed response with structured plans, clear objectives and positive outcomes for people and animals. Lessons learned in the emergency services are now being translated into other disciplines such as horse racing and eventing as part of their integrated emergency management practices.
